There were 49 entries received for the evaluation of their sites, compared with 66
entries for 1999 Evaluation. These came from 19 countries (1999 - 21 countries), of which,
8 countries entered for the first time.
In comparing this year's results to last year's, there was an increase in the number of three-star sites to 40% from 26%, and a decrease in the number of two-star sites to 45% from 56%. This could well be attributed to the largely different group of sites that were entered. There were seven sites (indicated with an asterisk following their URL) that were entered in both the 1999 and 2000 evaluations. Of those, three did better this year than last year, the other four stayed at the same level. The evaluation was completed by a team of seven accredited literature jurors from six countries in Europe and North America under the leadership of Francis Kiddle, vice-president (now president - elected 2000.10.13) of the FIP Literature Commission. The sites are listed alphabetically within each award section. Their home country is given along with the URL. |
To evaluate the sites, a panel of three teams was appointed: |
