Time and Place
In 2001, Denmark is celebrating the 150th anniversary of emission of its
first stamp, the "Fire Rigsbank Skilling", issued on 1 April 1851.
Time
HAFNIA 01 will open to the public on Tuesday, 16 October and close on Sunday, 21 October 2001.
Place
HAFNIA 01 will be located at Bella Center, the largest exhibition center of Denmark.

The Exhibition
The exhibition, HAFNIA 01, was approved by the FIP as a specialized world exhibition, comprising aprx. 2,200 frames, divided among
exhibition classes Traditional, Thematic, Open Class and Literature
150 dealers and 50 foreign postal administrations are expected to be represented at the exhibition.
HAFNIA 01 will continue to pursue the course set by its predecessors, HAFNIA 76, 87 and 94. A programme of great variety will ensure wide public interest, which will help in paving the way towards attracting new collectors..
HAFNIA 01 is organised by The Danish Philatelic Federation in close cooperation with Post Denmark, Stamps,
Post Greenland, Faroe Islands Post and The Danish Stamp Dealers' Association.
The Motto
The motto of the exhibition is "We are building Bridges", a topical motto at a time when Denmark, within just a few years, has inaugurated
two great bridge-connections, namely, in 1998, the Great Belt Bridge and in 2000, the "Øresund" Bridge which connects Denmark with Sweden.
